Xtend Barre® Rochester Hills is conveniently located at 1484 N. Rochester Rd. (in City Walk) at the corner of Rochester Rd. and Tienken Rd. in Rochester Hills, anchored by Bar Louie, Comerica Bank, and Big Boy.
We teach a Pilates-based, dance-amplified workout that uses the ballet barre, yoga straps, balls, weights, and stretch bands to maximize fat burning, improve posture, tone and lengthen muscles. The workout is ideal for busy moms and working professionals as participants are able to complete a full body workout—including cardio and stretching—in just 55 minutes.
Classes are multi-leveled, geared to challenge bodies of any age, gender, and fitness level. We are committed to providing our clients with a challenging, safe and effective workout program. Our instructors are certified in Pilates and Xtend Barre and offer exercises that can be modified for beginners, prenatal clients or clients with injuries, but that can also be amplified for advanced clients looking for an extreme challenge. Beginners will quickly learn proper technique and form thanks to our certified instructors, and advanced clients will love how their bodies are challenged to their fullest potential.

Angie Nobile - Studio Owner / Instructor
Angie Nobile, a metropolitan Detroit native, discovered a passion for dance at young age, and danced competitively in jazz, tap, lyrical, ballet/pointe, hip hop and Broadway styles. Her passion for dance continued through her college years, including as a member of Michigan State University’s dance team, MSU Motion. After college, Angie worked in corporate America, and also earned an MBA from Purdue University. At a crossroads in her life, after having her son, she discovered Xtend Barre, in San Diego, Calif. “I was inspired to open a Xtend Barre during my very first class. Everything about the class had me hooked immediately. I loved the positive, welcoming atmosphere. It was love at first Plie!” she says. Becoming a Xtend Barre owner and instructor was a natural fit for her. Angie is a certified Xtend Barre instructor, and also holds a Mat Pilates Certification through Power Pilates.
In 2010, Angie opened her first studio, Xtend Barre Scripps Poway, in a suburb of San Diego. Angie brings her positive energy into any of her pursuits, and feels that Xtend Barre is first and foremost about creating a community of like-minded women, giving them a place to gather and encourage each other to live a healthy lifestyle. As a busy mom and business owner, Angie loves that Xtend Barre is not only fun, but an efficient way to get a TOTAL body workout in a 55-minute class. Perfect for ladies with a busy schedule, such as herself!
Angie also holds a position with the Xtend Barre corporate team as Marketing Director.
She is honored to bring the Xtend Barre workout to her hometown, and is thrilled to see other women become empowered through the uplifting, motivating and challenging atmosphere that the workout creates among its community members. Angie and her team of encouraging instructors have set their goal for making a positive impact on every person that walks through the doors of her Xtend Barre studios.
Thomas Fant - Instructor
Proud to call Rochester, Michigan home after relocating from Virginia Beach to pursue a career with Detroit’s premier contemporary dance company, Eisenhower Dance Ensemble, Thomas is thrilled to join the Xtend Barre Rochester Hills team. A dancer since fifteen years old, he attended the Governor's School for the Arts where he was introduced to various forms of dance, specifically modern and ballet. In 2008 his choreography was featured in the National High School Dance Festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before moving to Michigan he danced with Todd Rosenlieb Dance in Norfolk. His first exposure to Pilates in 2004 laid the foundation for his interest in pursuing certifications in various mind-body conditioning methods. Fusing both dance and Pilates, Xtend Barre drew Thomas in from his first class and he was hooked; watching the clients enjoy their workouts and leave satisfied knowing they not only worked hard, but also had fun, is an inspiration all on its own. He holds certifications in both Xtend Barre and Xtend Barre stick, and enjoys teaching both classes to people of all fitness levels. Seeing the progression of individuals from their first Xtend class until the moment they reach (and continue to surpass) their goals is his main reason for teaching. Working hard in every class is a guarantee, but so is having fun. Be it in either the Xtend or dance studios, you can find him smiling and full of energy at any hour of the day.
Ann Marie Wakula - Instructor
Ann Marie Wakula, Instructor
Ann Marie has always had a passion for fitness and dance starting at age 5 when she slipped on her first pair of ballet shoes. With more than 15 years of training, teaching and coaching cheer, she brings her knowledge and enthusiasm to the Barre. Ann Marie danced competitively for many years and is trained in Cecchetti ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop.
After becoming a mother to 3 beautiful children, she decided no time is better than now to pursue her life-long passion of becoming a fitness instructor. Ann Marie discovered Xtend Barre while exploring different teaching options. After taking several classes the results were evident and she was thrilled to find the perfect combination of strength and cardio fused into one class 55 minute class.
Ann Marie views the Xtend Barre Workout as a natural complement to her years of dance training and looks forward to sharing the results with her clients. “I want to challenge my clients, determine their fitness goals and inspire them to follow through. To be a part of a physical transformation of good health is incredibly rewarding.”
Ann Marie graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.A.A. in Integrative Public Relations and Journalism and currently works as a freelance professional. When away from the Barre, she enjoys yoga, Pilates, running and HIIT (high intensity interval training). She is also Pilates Mat certified.
Elizabeth Darke - Instructor
Elizabeth is thrilled to be joining the team at Xtend Barre Rochester Hills. Elizabeth grew up taking every style of dance imaginable. Moving as a child across the US, she began taking dance more serious...ly and started attending competitions. By age sixteen she relocated to Los Angeles CA, where she was mentored by Fame's prestigious dancer/choreographer Debbie Allen. There she began professionally dancing in a number of concerts, theater productions and industrials in Southern California. After high school Elizabeth attended New York City's, Marymount Manhattan College and received a Bachelor Fine Arts Degree in dance performance with a jazz emphasis. Elizabeth worked for Hershey Park entertainment and there was recruited by Barry Manilow's Production Company, Stiletto Entertainment, where she began dancing on cruise ships. During her six years of world traveling and dancing for Holland America Cruise Line, Elizabeth met her now husband, and they have relocated back to Rochester Michigan. She found and fell in love with the Xtend Barre Method. Her family lives a block from the Xtend Barre Rochester Hills studio and it was fate! She is eager to get to know the Rochester community and inspire others with her passion and in depth knowledge for dance and fitness. Elizabeth is also a newly certified in Zumba Fitness Instructor, and is studying to gain further group fitness certification with NAFC: National Association Fitness Certification. "The Xtend Barre workout has so many benefits. It allows it's students to not only have an incredible work out but teaches grace, rhythm, poise and confidence that you just will not get from any other total body workout! I love it! "
Megan White - Instructor
Megan White grew up in the greater Detroit area. She established her love for dance at a young age and went on to pursue a professional dance career. Megan has trained with world renowned companies including Miami City Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Minnesota Dance Theatre, and American Ballet Theatre. She continues to teach and share her passion of dance with students throughout the region in the genres of ballet, lyrical, pointe, contemporary, modern and jazz. Her students have competed at regional and national levels; many going on to study dance through various college programs, some even pursuing professional dance careers. Megan is a member of Dance Masters of Michigan, a certified massage therapist, personal trainer and Pilates Mat certified. She is currently studying exercise science and physical therapy at Oakland University in hopes of becoming a physical therapist. She fell in love with Xtend Barre after her first class, “The fusion of dance, Pilates and body awareness is amazing!” Megan is excited to be a part of the Xtend Barre Rochester Hills team and will bring her enthusiasm and quirkiness to every class.
Heather Evans - Instructor
Since age 3, Heather has nurtured her natural talent and love of dance. She brings more than 20 years of dance experience to the Xtend Barre team. A Rochester Hills native, Heather trained at RARA and was chosen to dance with the Select Performance Ensemble and Select Performance competitive team. Her passion and skill earned her a scholarship to Alma College as a member of the Alma College Dance Company, while studying to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education.
Post-graduation, Heather found it difficult to find an exercise program that was as dynamic as dance training. After trying many different methods, she discovered the Xtend Barre Workout. “I love that Xtend Barre works the entire body and challenges me in a way that I have not been challenged in years!”
Heather currently works as a kindergarten teacher and dance instructor teaching ballet, jazz and tap. She has trained under Thomas Morris, a former dancer with the Cincinnati Ballet, Garden State Ballet, and Ballet West. She has also performed a piece choreographed by Laurie Eisenhower of Eisenhower Dance Ensemble.
Heather is Pilates Mat certified and is excited to add Xtend Barre to her teaching repertoire. Her goal is to help you realize the unlimited potential and results with the Xtend Barre program!
Eileen Naperkoski - Instructor
Born and raised in Rochester Hills, Eileen began an active lifestyle at age 7 when her parents enrolled her in dance. After high school, her love of the art lead her to teach various styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop and contemporary, training her students to win numerous regional and national championships.
Fitness and promoting healthy living, have always been a passion and priority in Eileen’s professional and personal life. In 2012, Eileen took interest in Crossfit and currently competes at the local and regional level. She recently placed 8th out of the top 60 Michigan female athletes at the Pure Michigan Invitational.
While looking for another way to cross train, Eileen came across Xtend Barre and instantly fell in love with the workout. "It’s by far one of the most fun, challenging and effective ways for a women to attain their fitness goals," she says.
Eileen is a graduate of the University of Michigan with degree in marketing. She is thrilled to be able to share Xtend Barre with her hometown. Her passion for exercise and energetic attitude will help any woman achieve an Xtend Barre body. Eileen is also Pilates Mat certified.
